Camel Wrestling Festival

TBD. Camel Wrestling festival is a traditional Turkish sport event during which pairs of camel males, dressed up in colorful harnesses and saddles, are encouraged to fight each other for supremacy or to impress the nearby on-heat females. The event is held during the reproductive season of camels when the males are naturally more aggressive.

While the main event happens Sunday the festivities begin on Saturday, in Selcuk downtown, with beauty camel contests, street markets, music and barbecues cooking camel sausages
