Intro
Ayodhya Diwali (Ayodhya Deepotsav) is a multi-day festival of lights that reenacts the legendary return home of Lord Ram, hero of the Ramayana epic, after 14 years of exile.
Its defining spectacle is the mass lighting of millions of small clay oil lamps on the river ghats, a Guinness World Record since 2025. Other famous highlights include large fire rituals, open-air theater performances, and drone shows.
