Intro

The Ladakh Nomadic Festival (also known as Changthang Nomadic Festival) is a two-day summer event that celebrates the Changpa pastoral nomads and their way of life. It takes place on yearly rotating places on the Changthang plateau of eastern Ladakh ( India) and welcomes its visitors with folk dances and storytelling, mask rituals led by monks, horse racing and polo, markets of yak-wool carpets and pashmina goods, and traditional food such as butter tea and momos.
