Intro

The Andong Mask Dance Festival is a ten-day international mask dance festival held each autumn in Andong, a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Masked performers satirize nobles, monks, and ordinary fools in dance dramas that UNESCO listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2022. Foreign troupes perform alongside them. Visitors also get parades, a world mask play competition, mask-making workshops, and free outdoor shows.
