Moors and Christians is a romantic reenactment of a battle between Moors invaders and local Christians. If features more than 10000 “troops” dressed in jaw-dropping costumes. Most of them will have a “fight” using real medieval guns and real gunpowder, which will make Alcoy streets full of smoke and soul-shattering rumble.

This event is a race where the competitors run down the hill to catch a big round of Double Gloucester cheese. It is a funny but also dangerous contest since the competitors often fall and reach speeds up to 100 kilometres per hour.
