Mardi Gras (or Fat Tuesday) is an event that reflects the practice of a last night of eating rich and having fun before the Easter fasting season. It features many balls, parties, and parades with floats and costumed dancers. The spectators are welcomed with beads and coins thrown on them from the parades.
