Mardi Gras (or Fat Tuesday) is an event that reflects the practice of a last night of eating rich and having fun before the Easter fasting season. It features many balls, parties, and parades with floats and costumed dancers. The spectators are welcomed with beads and coins thrown on them from the parades.

Khajuraho Dance Festival celebrates the vast variety of Indian cultural heritage through traditional and modern dance shows. Its wide recognition manages to attract the best artist in the field. It is held on an open air theater set inside the ancient site of Khajuraho temples (well known for their erotic sculptures).
